Tick Tock

tick tock.

No baby yet....
We are anxiously awaiting.

I went to bed last night at around 10pm hoping to be awaken by water.
No such luck.
Instead I'm awaken by discomfort at 3am.
Happy Monday!!

Friday Five

I have to say it's been so nice blogging again this week.
I think I will have to keep it up.

Love joining the ladies for such a fun link up to wrap up the week!

{ one }
I'm ready to 'Pop'!

We are beyond excited to meet our little lady....
anytime now!!

{ two }
The Great Gatsby
Yes I finally saw it!
The settings and costumes were am-azing!
I wasn't overly impressed at the time
but then talking about it I realized I really loved it.
It took my back to high school Lit class.

{ three }
ONLY 60 DAYS TILL CHRISTMAS
I will admit I'm stressing a bit over what to wear for newborn and Christmas photos.

Speaking of the holidays.
I'm so excited that this week I got confirmation of my appointment
to see Santa at Phipps with Parker Leigh.
Yes, my child is not yet born but I scheduled my appointment in August!
And, no, I am not ashamed.

{ five }
Last but certainly not least.
Looking forward to a fantastic fall wedding weekend!
We have a wedding tomorrow night,
which will undoubtedly be a night to remember.
Followed up by a little pumpkin carving and maybe even a trip to the delivery room!!
Fingers Crossed, I have a funny feeling about Sunday!

Asheville Fall Weekend

I'm doing some back tracking and sharing some photos
of our trip to Asheville last month.

The Mr.'s parents live in Hendersonville, NC
super cute town just about 10 minutes from Asheville.
It's great to visit!

Something you might not know,
the Mr. and I met in Asheville...quick version.

I accepted an internship at the Biltmore after college.
He was working at the Biltmore at the time.
We worked together,
fell in love,
adopted Hendrix,
he proposed,
and we moved to Atlanta.
Wow we look young!

While we loved the mountains and all of the beauty of Asheville.
It just never felt like home to either of us.
HOWEVER, it is a wonderful place to visit!

We had a great little trip.
We took part in our annual apple picking....

It was a beautiful day!

Had a great lunch at Wicked Weed Brewing.

Super great brewery downtown.

It was a great weekend!
We can't wait to take Parker Leigh apple picking next fall!

We love Asheville, if you ever need any restaurant suggestions just let me know :)!

Favorite Maternity Clothes

Thought I would share some of my favorite maternity finds.

Yes they have maternity clothes
Great for work attire
And they frequently offer 40% off!

Perfect for inexpensive basics
Also home to my favorite skinny jeans...I prefer the full panel
best part very affordable

Nice work pants for my friends with long legs...they come in longs!
the Supersoft Shirts (tanks, short, and long sleeves) are am-azing!

Most of my purchases here did not hold up well.
But they do have the best leggings...cropped and long.
Secret Fit Belly(r) Jersey Knit Maternity Leggings

They are slowly coming out with more maternity wear.
Maternity Pixie pant
They came out a bit too late for me but next go around
I will be investing (right word cause they are not cheap) in some basics from my favorite!

Too $$ for me but I do love their stuff.

Everything I found was super cute but.....not returnable
And most of the items I purchased didn't fit correctly = waste of $$

My advice go ahead and spend some $$ on some great basics.
Stick with ordering your pre-maternity size!!
I have been lucky enough to wear a few non-maternity items throughout my pregnancy.
I will admit this past couple of weeks I've been wearing the Mr.'s t-shirts to bed.

Happy shopping to all the expecting moms out there!

Parker Leigh Wagner

Here we are only 2 weeks away from meeting our precious little girl!

I'm overwhelmed with anticipation.
I'm not nervous about labor.
(I trust doctors and drugs)
I'm just too excited to catch the first glimpse of our girl.
I can't wait to see her little face.

Every night the Mr. and I sit around
and say in a couple of weeks/days it won't just be the 3 of us.
(that is the 2 of us + big brother Hendrix)
If it's possible I think the Mr. might be more excited than I am.

My mama is out of town until Wednesday.
I truly I need a few more days to tidy things up at work.
But come Thursday I think I will be ready!
I have delayed in packing my hospital bag
in hopes that she keeps herself nice and snug until the end of the week.

We have finally agreed on a name
funny as it was the very first name we came up with
during the first few weeks.

Parker Leigh Wagner

We can't wait to meet you!

Friday Five

I'm joining the Friday link up with some lovely ladies!

Happy Friday!

one.
I am still in awe over the most beautiful shower my friends threw our baby girl this weekend.  It was just perfect, girly, and fabulous.  Photos to come promise.

two.
I have rediscovered a love for morning sweets.  I have be in a long phase of bacon and eggs.  In embarrassingly frequent trips to Waffle House I have been ordering a weekly waffle.
A will admit they are pretty awesome!

three.
It’s spa time…we are headed away for the weekend to one of my most favorite places…Grove Park Spa!!
We have a weekend of apple picking, visiting with the in laws, and the spa.  So excited for what is most likely our last little weekend away before baby girl arrives.

four.
Jcrew maternity wear….I’m going to break down today and place my order for the Jcrew Minnie Pant.

five.
Fall is in the air!  While I am personally clinging to the last moments of summer, I am super excited that football has returned, it’s not weird to have soup at lunch, and pumpkin flavored everything is back...like this amazing looking Pumpkin Dream Cake with Cinnamon Maple Cream Cheese Frosting.

We are getting there....29 weeks.

It has been a whirlwind summer.
I can not believe we are half way through August.
Last week I got an email welcoming me to the 3rd trimester.
I had a moment of panic.

The Mr. is pretty much the most amazing man.
First he is complete in love with our little girl.
Some days he says good morning to her before me.
The Mr. has really been a huge help.

I have to say I have kind of been enjoying pregnancy.
After the first 16 weeks it has been smooth sailing.

We are almost finished with the nursery.
Still have the little decorating of odds and ends to finish up.
Luckily my mama will be home soon to help.
I will be sewing curtains this weekend and we will be almost complete.
Here is a sneak peek of everything crammed into one corner.

We finally picked out and purchased a new car.
Yes, I guess you could say our family car.
But it was definitely needed as Mr. car was about to bite the dust.

So here is finally a picture of the bump and our new ride at 27 weeks.

I'm 29 weeks today and other than the occasional back and hip pain
I have no complaints!
In the coming weeks we will have our first baby shower,
last little get-a-way, and the much anticipated child birth class...eekkk.

Despite my plans I have been very bad about documenting my pregnancy.
I'm going to blame it on the fact that I have really felt pretty great,
had no cravings, and outside the joy of feeling her move not real news.
I did tell the Mr. last night that in a few months I'm going to really miss feeling her move around in there.

Happy Monday!
Now that things are beginning to settle down
and my panic is gone I'm going to start blogging again.

24 Hours and 24 Weeks

In 24 short hours
we will walking into the airport
for a much needed vacy

5 whole days with salt water and sand
it makes me teary eyed just thinking about it
that's how excited I am!!

Even more exciting/scary
We are half way there and 24 weeks already!

Our little angel will be here before we know it.

Preparations are coming along
slowly but surely.

I"m hoping this little vacation will help
boost us into the final stretch and get everything done by September!
That's my goal...
have the nursery done and Christmas shopping done!
Not likely the way it looks right now.
Wish me luck!

I guess I should start keep track of the crazy questions.
I promise a bump picture when I return from paradise.

How far along? 24 weeks and 3 days (but who's counting)
Total weight gain/loss: 16 lbs - for the first time ever they moved that notch over to 150...ekkkk
Maternity clothes? Pretty much everything, I'm squeeze myself into a few t-shirts and dresses
Stretch marks? Nope.
Sleep: flipping around a lot but can't complain too much, baby and I are not on the same schedule.
Best moment this week: tomorrow will be the best day of the week, lounging on the island with my Mr.
Have you told family and friends: Yes, everyone knows including strangers
Miss Anything? Having a refreshing cocktail at the beach!
Movement: Yes and I love it!
Food cravings: All carbs, I could live on bread alone.  All dairy.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Still having a hard time with meat.
Happy or Moody most of the time: A little of both.  Work has been a little crazy so I'm getting annoyed very easily.
Looking forward to: Relaxing with my Mr. and returning home refreshed to get the final preparations for our little girl.

May Showers??

Pinned Image

April's showers have not yet brought May flowers?
Instead we have had May showers, storms, and hail?
What is going on with the wacky weather of 2014?
My body, wardrobe, and Hendrix are confused?

In other news I feel like I am getting back on track this week.
For starters I've hired a maid and she starts today!!
(Angels are singing and Hendrix is wagging his tail)

We've been very busy bees in our bungalow lately.
Getting the yard cleaned up and then destroyed again by the storms.
We've been looking for a new car!  Very exciting.
Picking out paint colors for our bedroom
I'm ready for a change
And a great trip to our nations capital last weekend.

Here are some photos of our trip...

checking out George Washington's whiskey

strolling through the mall

Next on the list is planning wedding showers
and our summer trip...
hint, hint
Bahamas
I can not wait!

Is it you Spring?

Is Spring really here?  I'm scared to say it out loud.

Pinned Image
It was a beautiful spring weekend.
So nice not having to wear a sweater or jacket all weekend!
I was a bit under the weather thanks to the seasonal pollen
but managed to fit in a pretty nice little weekend.

I napped in the sun, did a little cleaning,
watched some b-ball, did a little more napping,
and spend a nice Sunday with my little brother.

It was pretty perfect Sunday!
Little brother and I had lunch,
walked around to the farmers market,
did some shopping,
and treated him to his very first pedicure.
I think he enjoyed it too!
Then we finished it off with dinner with the parents.

Today my Dad and Brother are at the Masters for day 1 of practice rounds.
I’m so excited for them and they could not have asked for a better day!

Have a great week!

Spring Please!

Pinned Image

Well it’s been awhile.  Truthfully I haven’t been that busy, just a little lazy.

I am so over this cold, crappy weather.
Hopefully today will be the end and springtime will finally appear.

My energy has been a little low lately.
I hope to get back to blogging, cleaning house, and getting organized for the warmer months to come.

I have lots to share but just have to commit to sharing.
So that one day I can look back and remember all we’ve done in our little bungalow.
