Good Friday

Resurrection weekend is upon us.

Sharing my favorites of the season...

"They put a purple robe on him, then twisted together a crown of thorns and set it on him." ~ Mark 15:17

1 Peter  3:18
For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God.  He was put to death in the body but made alive by the Spirit

"Many years ago, the greatest love of all walked this very earth. Jesus. He came to pay a debt that He didn't even owe. A debt of sin - our sins and our debt...God knew humanity needed restoration, so he sent a Savior. Jesus came and in the greatest display of love ever shown, sacrificed His own life to save ours..."

Behold the Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world

 Hebrews 12:2
fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

 Have to share one extra this Good Friday...
The angel said to the women, 'Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.' (Matthew 28:5-6, NIV)
