Fall

Pinned Image

Nothing like a lazy Saturday morning sipping coffee, watching leaves fall and a gameday in Tallahassee to get you pumped for Fall! Until this moment I was terribly sad to let go of summer. I won't lie I'm a bit depressed in not in Tally with my family but I'm pretty excited to plant some mums and snack on cheese dip while watching the game with my Mr. and pup.

Unfortunately work has been a bit nuts so I haven't really had time to wrap my head around fall and what we are going to do this season. But I do plan on taking some more time to be with the Mr. and get in shape.

Every 4 Years

I had a mild obsession with the Olympics.  I hate that it is only every 4 years.  I’m going to have to get into the Winter games in 2014.  I believe I successful caught a glimpse of every sport.  This year I really enjoyed the archery (like everyone else), modern pentathlon, fencing, and the indoor cycling.
We had planned an Olympic party but my mama had surgery so the week of the opening ceremonies we cancelled.  Well the day of she was feeling better and my sister was in town with her bf and their costumes.  So since it is only every 4 years we pulled together a few peeps and had a little shindig.

It looked a little like this…
little brother with the Lithuania basket ball t-shirt from the '96 games and our torch

the Asian crowd

the family [mom and dad wore their usher and security uniforms from the '96 games]

I found my mama dress from her 9th grade homecoming dance and the Mr. found a British type hat and we were Duchess Kate and Harry...not sure we really pulled it off but I think for a last minute outfit it's not too bad ?

I really am sad it's over....but it's still on the DVR!  We had a blast!

Where did you go on vacation?

Our answer is – Delware.

It’s funny to see the look on faces when I answer this question.  Down south, Delware doesn’t come up in conversations very often.  We had a great trip to Rehoboth Beach, Delware.  It was absolutely adorable and may be a more frequently visited location for us.  The Mr. chose the location because Rehoboth/Milton is home to the Dogfish Head Brewery.  Luckily for me it happens to be located in a super cute quaint beach town.

now for the Mr.'s pictures

aren't there offices pretty!!

the Mr. purchases...round 1

To make the trip even more exciting for the Mr. we happen to meet a brewer at the Brew Pub bar.  After closing down the bar we the Mr. had found a new friend.  Total coincidence turned into a private brewery tour, lots of information, and a man crush for the Mr.

the Mr. on his very extensive private tour...there are another 300 photos but I won't bore you with 300 photos of stainless steal pipes and tanks.

I was beyond impressive with our experience at the brewery especially our private tour guide.  He went to work at 6am and then met us afterwards and gave us a 2 hour tour!!  He was so nice and informative.  Dogfish Head gets a A+++ on customer service and company culture.
I think that is probably enough photos for one post!  Until my next photo unload, have a great day!

Playing Catch Up

I’m back from a little and much needed break.  The world hasn’t stopped spinning in our bungalow but I needed a little summer break.  I don’t have many fun accomplishments or projects.  The beginning of the school season I always feel like getting organized and shopping.  The calendar is quickly filling up and I’m so excited for football season, all things fall, birthdays, our anniversary, and a few fun get-a-ways.
We have some fun things to plant over the next few days and lots of summer photos to sift through.  I’m very excited to get back into a regular routine of house work, working out, and perhaps even blogging a bit more often.   Hope you all have a great week!

Back to Reality

So sad…sometimes it’s nice to get home after vacation. This time I could have used a few more days. I’ve been back to work for a week now and back in the routine of things.

It was a fantastic vacation!!! The Mr. and I are not good at planning relaxing vacations we try to pack in as much fun as possible. A couple of days the Mr. dropped me off at the beach and then went off on his own adventures. I have tons of pictures haven’t sat down to sort through them all quite yet…stay tuned photos to come soon, promise.

So what’s new in our Bungalow?
Well we are in full brewing mode. Beer has taken over! The Mr. wants to put a 7ft freezer in our guest room!! Yes our future baby room, he said and I quote “it can double as a changing table”. This is where I have drawn the line. So I spend a good portion of the weekend cleaning out shelving in laundry room to make space for his equipment. We did have time for a Sunday Batman date night.
batman

I’m a sucker for some Batman.  The middle got a little lengthy but the ending made up for it!  Definitely need to see it but it’s very long so don’t go too late at time.

Happy Monday!  Promise I'm back on the ball and have fun things to share this week!

A little catch up

Happy Belated 4th of July!
#fireworks - Epic Fireworks :)

We have had some bad luck in our bungalow the past couple of days.
#1 - 5 gallons of pale ale the Mr. had brewed leaked all through our bedroom.
#2 - our kitchen facet handle broke off and needed to be replaced.  This has been a challenge to say the least.  We went without water all day on the 4th.  And it's still leaking.  However I do love our new facet just waiting on it to work correctly.

#3 - we had guests at our place before fireworks and bought beer.  The case we bought had a malfunctioned cap and decided to leak on our ivory rug.

So at least we can say we've had our 3 so hopefully our luck has turned around just in time for our vacay!

I did get a lot of time to decorate for the 4th while the Mr. was working on sink :)

Our new end table from Ballard...love it!  Need to work on styling it but here it is for now.

I found the deal on living social and now it’s my new favorite work out. It’s a blast!

I can't wait for this view at a new beach [for us] in Rehoboth, DE.
I’m less than 2 weeks from a vacation, a much needed vacay.

I'm love reliving my sorority years by helping my cousin get ready for rush this Fall!

All things turquoise! I got some earring like this for Christmas last year and I love them. Serious you can wear them with pretty much everything. It’s such a pretty pop of color for boring work clothes.

Happy Hump Day!
