Making Room

This weekend's spring cleaning
task brought me to tears.

Displaying photo 1.JPG

Our little Parker is no longer our infant.
She's outgrowing her infant toys.
Her new interests include...
Legos, baby dolls, and cooking with her pint size pots and pans

I'm clearing out the old and making room for the new.
Our little bungalow has reached overflow status.

I've separated her infant toys
Keepers for baby sister or brother
and
Giveaways of random odds and ends that have shown up or reached the end of the life.

I'm just going to end up pinning every part of the ending aren't I?

It was a combination of tears
Our baby is growing up too fast
and flashbacks to Toy Story.
That Toy Story 3 was a total sob story.
Seriously I could lose it just giving someone the summary!

You can still sit on my lap ;o) and you'll NEVER outgrow my Heart <3

Happy Tears on a Tuesday
Miss my baby but so much to look forward to!
Cheers,
RW

Monday Musings

Monday again....
again full of random thoughts and a busy week.

Lilly for Target in Bryant Park today.
I have not been to Target since the Lily tornado.
contemplating an afternoon visit

Sunday I finally broke down and watched Grey's
I knew what was happening and still cried like a baby.

Mine are just starting to blossom! Two years after I planted the bush...it takes time..be patient!
I'm on the hunt for some hydrangeas and ferns this week.
After my dismay coming home to the Mr. ripping out the holly bushes
I'm excited to plant some new flowering bushes in the front beds.

I feel like the pollen may be on it's way out.
I'm looking forward to de-pollenizing the porches in the near future.

So sad I'm already getting rid of/putting away the infant toys
and making room for the toddler things.

After some travel last week
and prepping for more travel in the weeks ahead
I'm looking forward to getting back on track this week.

Cheers to another great week,
RW

Monday Musings

Monday coffee by Megan Hess Illustration
This is exactly how I feel today!

We had an inprompt weekend at Mimi and Papa's.
Arrangements had been made to stay over Friday
in preparation of the yard sale.
But after a long day we stayed over Saturday too.

We had a fun time with our little weekend get-a-way.

I'm off today for a quick work trip.
so classy!
If only I looked like this instead of jumping in my rental car.

Puerto Rico packing and prep is in full swing.
Countdown has begun.

More excited it's been announced our 2016 trip will be to
Napa Valley, California - Great Rip With Duchess And Gert!
So excited it's been on my list for some time now.

Busy week again this week.
Because my fascination with the circus will never end. Circus Performer Lottie Brunn, 1949

this working mom stuff is not for the faint of heart.
So thankful for such a supportive family!

Happy Monday to all!
Cheers to a productive week.

Finally Friday

To say this has been a long week may be an understatement.
I got to spend 1 night at home this week.
Thank you to the Mr. for holding down the fort.

So looking forward to our weekend.
Although I'm not sure it will be very restful.

[first.]
It's Yard Sale Season!
We are tagging along with my parents and hosting a sale this weekend!
The Mr. thinks my pricing is too cheap, according to his calculations if we sell everything we will make $15....haha.

[second.]
My Jack Rodgers Jelly's came.
Love them!
Only thing I'd say, if you are ordering go a half size down.

[third.]
Shopping Spree Izak Zenou. Love the little shopping bag in the pup's mouth!
After I make my $15
I'm headed to the outlets for Puerto Rico shopping spree!

[four.]
Favorite Read of the Week.
Check it out!

[five.]
Did I mention I'm happy it's Friday!
Föstudagar eru bestir :-)
That is all.

Cheers to the weekend!

Random Bungalow Intro

Coffee x2

First and Foremost Happy Thursday!

I've read a lot of 're-introductions' in the blog world lately.
I'm not sure that I've ever done an official intro from our Bungalow.
With that being said, I've compiled my favorites from all of you
to create an intro from the Mr. and myself.

So please step inside our bungalow....

the story of us...
We met while working at the Biltmore Estate in Asheville.

The Mr. is in the culinary industry and I am in the hotel business.
We share a love for travel, but unfortunately seem to work a little too much.

We adopted a 6 week old puppy after dating 6 months.
Yes crazy, luckily it worked out and Hendrix is almost 9 and over 100 lbs now.

We've been married since October 2008.

We expanded our family October of 2013 and can't imagine life without our little P.
Parker brings us some much joy and love!

right now it's
London, Scandinavia, NAPA, and road trip through the Grand Canyon in an RV

women i admire, and why?
My Mama, she's a working mom that raised 3 pretty darn good kids (in my opinion)
We may have been late a few places and missing a few things here or there.
But we always had a beautiful, festive home, something green at dinner, and a ton of FUN.
I had one of the best childhoods and I only hope I can do as well as she did for my family.

Where to eat?

Butcher block paper roll -- reminders, lists and love notes to your lovies!! Bistro Union, London

I'm not sure about you
but we love to eat out and try new places.
Problem is we are a little last minute.

And when you are ready go
you can never think of that place you've always been meaning to try.

Well...about a year ago
I was out to eat with a friend and her friend.
We were talking about this dilemma

And she pops out her wallet and an index card.
On the card was printed out about 50 restaurants.
She explains...
Whenever she reads or hears about a new place she updates list for her wallet.
So whenever she and her Mr. are faced with
'where to we go?'
She pulls out her list, pick and go.
And cross off as they move along.

Love this trick!
I've started my list and love having it handy.

Cheers
